So why do an apprenticeship at Saint-Gobain?
Here at Saint-Gobain, our electrical and mechanical apprenticeship programme is running for over 50 years. The Saint Gobain programme, in partnership with SOLAS, affords the opportunity to pursue a career in mechanical or electrical technician roles.
WHO CAN APPLY FOR AN APPRENTICESHIP?
Saint Gobain’s apprenticeship programme welcomes cultural diversity and social inclusion. The criteria, as set out by SOLAS, includes the following minimum educational requirements:
- Grade D in five subjects in the Department of Education & Skills Junior Certificate Examination or an approved equivalent, or
- The successful completion of an approved Pre-Apprenticeship course,
or - Three years’ work experience gained over sixteen years of age in a relevant designated industrial activity as SOLAS shall deem acceptable.
It should be noted that these are the current approved minimum educational requirements for apprenticeship programmes and are subject to changes as per SOLAS.
